“You are what you eat.” 這句西方諺語的意思是人如其食,即吃什麼就會像什麼,吃不僅是維持生命的必須,吃的內容更與身體健康息息相關。2016年Giahi等人發表在《營養學評論》的系統性回顧,納入23篇有關飲食及男性不孕的文獻,結果指出與男性不孕相關的營養因子包含高紅肉及加工肉品、熱量與飽和脂肪攝入;低蔬果、抗氧化物質與多元不飽和脂肪攝取,其中有一半以上與脂肪攝取量及種類有關,顯示脂肪攝取對男性不孕的重要性[1]。
