Mission and Objectives

The Taiwanese Association for Andrology and Sexual Medicine

Mission Statement:

The Taiwanese Association for Andrology and Sexual Medicine (TAASM) is a non-profit professional organization established in accordance with the law. Its mission is to advance the science and practice of andrology—including diseases of the prostate, seminal vesicles, external male genitalia, and male infertility—as well as sexual medicine through the promotion of research, education, and excellence in clinical care. The Society is also dedicated to fostering international academic collaboration and exchange.

Objectives of the Society:

  1. To promote research, innovation, and the advancement of andrology and sexual medicine.
  2. To organize scientific lectures, symposia, workshops, and academic conferences.
  3. To participate in international meetings and activities related to andrology and sexual medicine. To facilitate academic exchange and collaboration with relevant professional organizations worldwide.
  4. To publish journals, newsletters, and other educational materials related to andrology and sexual medicine.
  5. To establish and maintain specialist certification standards, training programs, and accreditation systems in andrology and sexual medicine.
  6. To facilitate professional collaboration and the exchange of clinical experience among members, while supporting specialist training, continuing medical education, and lifelong professional development.
  7. To organize and promote activities related to andrology and sexual medicine.
